Lina Reznikov Bailey was born July 27, 1978 in Minsk, Belarus when it was still the Soviet Union. By way of Austria and Italy, her family immigrated to San Francisco in 1989. After attending college at UC Davis, she got bored and drove to Boston. When her parents decided to follow her there, she ran away to Washington, DC to get an MA in International Affairs at the George Washington University. After a brief stint in the private intelligence industry, she suggested a move back to the West Coast. As a bona fide hausfrau, Lina’s hobbies include cooking, writing, rediscovering SF and posing for Andrew’s pictures.
Andrew and Lina met each other in September, 2004 in the DC area. Andrew saw Lina’s picture on one of those social networks and emailed her to ask her where a curly-haired Jewish girl from California interns nowadays. In September of 2005 they angered god by moving in together. In October of 2007, much to the annoyance of their respective parents, they drove across the country with their two cats to San Francisco, where they currently live. On February 11th, 2009 Andrew proposed to Lina by writing her a song full of inside jokes. This song was terrible, and despite the nervous stuttering and loud frustrated cursing, Lina accepted. Andrew and Lina are very lucky not to be burdened by tradition and parental demands, and they have happily eloped to the beautiful San Francisco City Hall on August 3, 2009.
