This morning (technically, yesterday), Charlotte climbed out of her crib for the first time. And then immediately climbed back in. And then out again. She did not want to repeat this feat either at naptime or bedtime, but the days of her confinement are probably not going to last for much longer.
The walls of the crib are quite high, so there is some concern that she might hurt herself by falling, but she seems to be much better coordinated than either of her parents. There is also an armchair next to the crib that she has figured out how to use as an intermediate height. Combined with her improving ability to operate doorknobs, we will probably have to find some other means of preventing her from running down the street.
